Giuseppe Mascarello Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Bricco Mirasole 2017 has a nose with aromas of bigarreau cherry, mint and a spicy note of pine needles. On the palate it offers a good structure and ripeness, is juicy and has a good column of tannins. In its finish you can detect light touches of licorice.

Giuseppe Mascarello Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Bricco Mirasole is a monovarietal Dolcetto red wine from the DOC Dolcetto d'Alba, produced by Giuseppe Mascarello e Figlio.

Giuseppe Mascarello e Figlio is a small family winery founded in 1881. It is considered one of the finest producers of Barolo and one of the best winemakers in the world. The winery vinifies in cement tanks coated with epoxy resin and in stainless steel tanks, and ages its wines in Slavonian oak foudres to ensure that the grape and its terroir are fully expressed.

The vineyard for Giuseppe Mascarello Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Bricco Mirasole was planted in 1988. It is harvested at mid-September, when the grape is at its optimum point of ripeness.

Giuseppe Mascarello Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Bricco Mirasole is produced in the traditional style, destemming and pressing the grapes and fermenting with the skins at a controlled temperature. The wine is not put into barrels but is bottled a year after the harvest. About 6,000 bottles are produced per year.

Giuseppe Mascarello Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Bricco Mirasole is an intense but balanced wine that is fruity and pleasant.
