They say what matters is the content, not the container. This holds true at La Cascajera, the foundational winery of this enterprise located in Cintruénigo, at the very heart of the DO Navarra. Within its centuries-old walls, the latest machinery and modern facilities are housed, ensuring the quality of the wines becomes unstoppable. However, it must be noted that technology is not the sole factor. Part of the credit goes to the land and the work carried out there over months. 
 
Gran Feudo Hoya de Los Lobos Crianza derives its character from the wolf, an animal that for many years lived and thrived amidst the vineyard, coexisting perfectly with the clusters and vines of tempranillo, merlot, garnacha, and cabernet sauvignon native to the region. Today, in this area of the Ebro—between Aragón and La Rioja—there are no wolves, but the character and animal strength permeate every hectare of this corner in the northeast of Spain. In the winery, each grape of Gran Feudo Hoya de Los Lobos Crianza undergoes separate alcoholic and malolactic fermentation until the moment of blending and barrel aging arrives. At this crucial stage of Gran Feudo Hoya de Los Lobos Crianza, winemaker Javier Garbayo opts to combine new oak with previously used barrels, always striving to ensure the wood does not overly influence the taste.
