Hacienda López de Haro Rosado is a rosé wine from the DOCa. Rioja produced by Bodega Classica. This winery is located in the Sonsierra region, at the heart of Rioja Alta.
Hacienda López de Haro Rosado is crafted from tempranillo and garnacha grape varieties.
The vineyards from which the grapes are sourced are very old, ranging from 40 to 90 years in age.
The vineyards are also of very low yield and are planted on highly drained clay-limestone soils, which, according to the winery, are ideal for cultivating the tempranillo variety.
The production of Hacienda López de Haro Rosado commences with the arrival of October; during this month, the grapes are harvested manually and immediately transported to the winery in 15kg boxes.
At the winery, a maceration process is conducted for 24 to 48 hours at approximately 10°C. Subsequently, the tank is bled, and the rosé must is naturally extracted.
Once the extraction is completed, the must undergoes fermentation for 20 days at a temperature of 10-12°C.
