About Herència Altés Garnatxa Blanca

Herència Altés Garnatxa Blanca is a white wine from D.O. Terra Alta, one of the most extensive wine regions in Cataluña but not very well known.
The wine is made by Herència Altés, a small winery located in the town of Batea directed by Núria Altés.
This wine is a single variety Garnatxa Blanca, the main variety in D.O. Terra Alta and specifically from their own vineyards in the winery. The vineyards are grown on clay and limestone soils, poor in organic matter.
The climate in this area is Mediterranean but with a continental influence, characterised by very cold winters and warm and dry summers.
The harvest is done quickly to secure a good, natural acidity, this is the key to its success. As for the production, after a short maceration, the grapes are pressed and afterwards there is a fermentation.
Herència Altés Garnatxa Blanca is a wine with an excellent quality-price ratio.

2017 Herencia Altés Garnatxa Blanca 2017 is a light, fragrant and honest white wine. An ideal vintage to express all the character of the variety. On the nose, the aromas of white fruit stand out, with marked floral notes. In the mouth it is easy to drink and long.
2013 On the palate it is a balanced and fresh wine. Retronasally it has white fruit notes.

Pale lemon yellow with green reflections. Clean and bright.

On the nose it is very aromatic. We can appreciate white fruit notes of melon, pear and pineapple with herbaceous tones.
