About HMR Black

HMR Black is a red wine made by the Heretat Mont Rubí winery, located in the town of Font-Rubí to the north of the D.O. Penedès. 


The winery and the vineyard are situated between 520 and 700 metres above sea level. The vineyards merge with deep Mediterranean pine forests, growing alongside a wild environment with aromatic undergrowth. They make wines with native and mainly single varieties. 

The philosophy of the winery is to support traditional, sustainable viticulture, which is respectful of the environment, seeking balance between its grape strains and the environment, and at the same time incorporate new technology. In the winery, all of the production processes are designed and controlled to avoid intervention as much as possible, using minimal quantities of sulphites and using their own antioxidant lees. 

HMR Black is a wine made with the Garnacha variety, planted on limestone-clay soils. Part of the grape undergoes maceration of its skins and the rest carbonic maceration, to obtain the maximum freshness and aromas.
