About Izadi Larrosa Rosado

Izadi Larrosa Rosado is a rosé wine crafted by Bodegas Izadi in Villabuena de Álava, within the DOCa Rioja.

Bodegas Izadi was established in 1987 by a group of friends and entrepreneurs from Vitoria, led by Gonzalo Antón. It is currently part of the Artevino Family Wineries group, which includes Finca Villacreces, Orben, Vetus, and Izadi itself.

Bodegas Izadi boasts 178 hectares of vineyards, situated in micro-plots within a triangle formed by the villages of Villanueva, Samaniego, and Ábalos. With an average age of 50 years, these vines are planted on poor soils with low yields, enhancing the typicity of the region and the grape variety.

All the vineyards are cultivated following integrated viticulture principles, maximally respecting the natural conditions of the vineyard and its surroundings.

Izadi Larrosa Rosado is a wine made from Garnacha grapes harvested from a vineyard over 50 years old, located at an altitude of 790 metres on a slope with clay-limestone soils. The harvest is done by hand, and upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Izadi Larrosa Rosado undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks after a gentle maceration.
