About J.J. Confuron Chambolle-Musigny

J.J. Confuron Chambolle-Musigny is a single-variety Pinot Noir red wine made by Domaine J.J. Confuron in the A.O.C Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy, France.

Domaine J.J. Confuron is located in the town of Premeaux, south of Nuits St. Georges and has eight hectares of vineyards. They make wines in different denominations and work according to the principles of organic agriculture. Since 2003 the vines have been ploughed with horses to avoid compacting the soil.

To make the J.J. Confuron Chambolle-Musigny wine, the grapes are carefully selected. When they reach the winery they are destemmed and very gently pressed to then undergo a short pre-fermentation maceration which takes place at controlled temperatures. The resulting wine remains on its lees until it is racked to age for 15 to 18 months, depending on the vintage.

2018 J. J. Confuron Chambolle-Musigny 2018 is a juicy red wine with aromas of red strawberries, herbal notes and touches of spice. On the palate it’s light, pleasant and elegant. A wine with balanced tannins, bright acidity and a mineral background.
2017 J.J. Confuron Chambolle-Musigny 2017 is a red wine with fruity aromas of raspberries, cherries and currants on the nose, accompanied by balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate it is smooth and exquisite, with a subtle mineral note that runs through the palate accompanied by elegant and balanced tannins.
