About J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse

J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse is a single-variety Pinot Noir red wine produced by Domaine J.J. Confuron in the A.O.C Bourgogne in Burgundy, France.

 

The grapes used to make the J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse come from plots with clay-calcareous and silty soils. When they reach the winery, they are carefully selected, destemmed and pressed to begin alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The resulting wine ages in barrels for 15 to 18 months, depending on the vintage.

 

Alain Meunier and Sophie Confuron understand that good wines are born in the vineyard, so they cultivate the eight hectares they inherited from Jean Jacques Confuron, Sophie’s father, using only natural products. Some plots are even worked with horse ploughs to encourage aeration and micro-oxygenation in the soil. Using these methods, they produce honest wines that perfectly link together the terroir, nature and the vine, just like this J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse, which is a great characteristic wine and the perfect introduction to Burgundy wines in general.
