About K5 Argiñano

Uhin Berdea is a white wine from the D.O. Getariako Txakolina by the K5 winery. This winery is situated in Aia, Guipúzcoa.

The K5 winery was founded by 5 friends, including Karlos Arguiñano, one of the most renowned chefs from Euskadi. The vineyard is situated in a spectacular location looking over the Cantabrian Sea, surrounded by forests on granitic soils. The planted variety is the local Hondarribi Zuri variety.

K5 ferments in stainless steel tanks and is then aged for 10 months in the same tanks. This is a white wine with more volume, but with an acidity and marked minerality. This is a Txakoli to enjoy now or to keep.

2019

K5 Argiñano 2019 is a concentrated, mineral-rich white wine. The bouquet is potent, featuring mineral nuances, fruity notes (apple), white blossoms, citrus (grapefruit, lemon), and an undertone of salinity. On the palate, it is smooth and glyceric, with substantial body. It is both refreshing and tart. Possesses an excellent aging potential.
