Kir Yianni Naoussa is the red wine ideal for embarking on a journey with this noble grape, cultivated in the historic region of Naoussa (Macedonia, Greece), a terroir that imparts uniqueness and character. This appellation, with its mosaic of altitudes, slopes, and soils, mirrors the rich diversity of this area in northern Greece, where the xinomavro variety reaches its zenith.
 
Kir Yianni Naoussa is crafted through a meticulous grape selection process from the winery's vineyards and local small producers. The result is a red wine with a complexity that reveals layers of aromas and flavours in every glass. The vinification process includes cold maceration, controlled fermentation, and maturation in French oak barrels of 225 and 500 litres, combining new and previously used barrels (from the 3rd to the 5th use) which provides a perfect balance between fruity freshness and subtle spicy and tobacco notes.
 
This wine is not only a tribute to xinomavro but also to the legacy of Kir Yianni, a winery founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris, a pioneer of Greek viticulture, and currently led by Stellios Boutaris, who continues his founder's vision: to innovate while respecting tradition.
