About Finca l'Argatà

Finca L'Argatà is a red wine produced by the Joan D'Anguera winery, a family winery whose grapes have grown in Montsant from 1820.

The winery has 31 hectares of vineyards located in the village of Darmós (Tarragona) where mostly red varieties are grown: Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan.

Finca l'Argatà is made from Grenache.

For processing, the must ferments at a controlled temperature of 27-29ºC. After the fermentation the wine is macerated for between 30 and 35 days before being aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

2019

Finca l'Argatà 2019 is a juicy, lactic red, loaded with fruit and floral aromas. Medium-high depth, cherry red colour, complemented by a fruity nose (peach, orange). The palate is powerful and meaty, noble, with a spicy, long and pleasant finish.
2017

Finca l'Argatà 2017 is a juicy red wine with delicate, fine fruit aromas accompanied by a milky touch and hints of minerality and terroir. On the palate it’s enveloping, fine and fleshy. A wine with nervo whose tannins show nobility and elegance. The finish is lingering and very agreeable.
2016 Finca l’Argatà 2016 is a juicy red wine with fruity notes of peach and floral aromas. On the palate it is meaty, powerful and lively with a pleasant long finish.
2012 Very safe, silky and meaty. Taste of red fruits, spices and a touch of balsamic freshness. Fresh tannins. Very good acidity. Long finish.

Intense cherry colour with violet edges.

Intense aromas of ripe black and red fruits. Floral notes and well harmonized freshness. Spicy background.
2009 Wide attack. Meaty and powerful mid palate with ripe fruit and spices. Tannins and notes of wood are well integrated. Long and persistent finish. A tasty and pleasant round wine. A wine to enjoy.

Complex and expressive aromas that gain strength as the wine opens up. Lots of ripe fruit arise along with creamy notes on a good herbal background full of hints of chocolate and coffee with toasted and soft balsamic touches.
