About La Primera Revancha Chenin Blanc

La Primera Revancha Chenin Blanc is a white wine made by Revancha Wines in Mendoza (Argentina) with the Chenin Blanc variety.

Revancha Wines is run by Roberto de la Mota, a legend of the Argentine winemaking world. After surviving an accident in 2007 that left him in a wheelchair, he believes that life is giving him another chance, and he wants to shout about it from the rooftops with high quality wines, which are made through experience, passion and an exceptional terroir.

La Primera Revancha Chenin Blanc comes from a vineyard over 50 years old with deep silty loam soils lying at an altitude of 1,050m above sea level. It is cultivated with respectful agriculture to maintain the high quality of the terroir and the yields are limited to 6,000 kg/ha.

In the winery, after the best grapes are harvested and selected to make La Primera Revancha Chenin Blanc, they are gently pressed and the resulting must is fermented in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. Then the wine spends 6 months on its lees in French oak barrels.

La Primera Revancha Chenin Blanc is one of the new Chenin Blancs made through a respect for the old traditions. A rich white wine with a strong varietal identity.

La Primera Revancha Chenin Blanc 2019 is a creamy white wine with aromas of fresh white fruit, citrus notes and hints of spice and honey. On the palate it is fresh, intense and elegant. A wine with a pleasant entry, a well-balanced acidity and a smooth and persistent finish.
