About Lammidia Rosh

In Villa Celiera, a small mountainous village in Abruzzo (Italy), “La ‘mmidia” —which in the local dialect means envy or evil eye— is more than just a word. When Davide and Marco embarked on their winemaking journey, the fermentation of their first wine wouldn't start until Grandma Antonia performed her protective ritual with water, oil, and magical incantations to ward off envy. Mere minutes later, the fermentation began unstoppably. Since then, this gesture has been a part of every harvest at Lammidia, a winery where curiosity, folk wisdom, and nature come together to craft genuine wines.

What truly sets these childhood friends apart is their relentless curiosity and their stubborn determination to defy conventions. Without resorting to external technicians or shortcuts, they have made constant experimentation and rigorous self-criticism their best tools to create wines that speak of freedom and passion, respecting the natural evolution of the grape and the terroir.

In this small winery, free from chemicals and artifices, only quality grapes, experienced hands, and a steadfast will to let nature speak are used to produce wines that are the pure heartbeat of the land. Fermented semi-carbonically with Montepulciano grapes and a fresh touch of trebbiano grapes, Lammidia Rosh is a vibrant and juicy red, where cherries and dark berries intertwine with a refreshing acidity and soft tannins, ready to be enjoyed slightly chilled and unpretentiously.
