About Lanson Le Black Réserve

Lanson, one of the most venerable houses within the AOC Champagne, is renowned for steadfastly adhering to its distinctive style over its 260-year history of crafting effervescent wines. Its champagnes, known for their freshness and acidity, are produced without malolactic fermentation and have captivated the British crown for over a century. The current cellar master, Hervé Dantan, has remained loyal to these tenets while imprinting his own signature, all the while preserving the distinctive character that has brought international acclaim to Lanson champagnes.

Among the most iconic wines from the estate is Lanson Le Black Réserve, a blend of chardonnay and pinot noir meticulously selected from vineyards situated in Avize, Bouzy, Chouilly, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Verzenay, many of which are classified as grands crus and premiers crus. This, coupled with the wines from the finest vintages (2002, 2004, and 2005), creates an exceptional champagne that matures for 5 years in the cellars and is finished with a dosage of 8 grams of sugar per liter.

Thus, born from expertise and passion, emerges Lanson Le Black Réserve. A champagne that is fresh, rich, and sophisticated, and like all Lanson champagnes, boasts the Royal Warrant, an accolade granted by Queen Victoria to the House in 1900 and which it has proudly retained to this day. This honor is a testament to their consistently exceptional craftsmanship.
