About Bodegas As Laxas Albariño

Laxas is a white wine from D.O. Rías Baixas produced by Bodegas As Laxas in Arbo (Pontevedra).

 

Bodegas As Laxas has been making wines since the end of the 19th century. It was one of the first ones to be part of the Regulating Body of D.O. Rías Baixas.

Currently, an average of 840,000 kg of grapes enter the winery every year. 60% of them come from their own vineyards, and the rest are from meticulously selected winegrowers.

Bodegas As Laxas has state-of-the-art equipment to achieve maximum quality and excellence for all its products, always showing all the properties of the variety and the expression of the terroir.  

 

Laxas is a wine made from Albariño, from the subarea of Condado de Tea.

After the harvest, grapes are meticulously pressed to obtain the must, which is left to ferment in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature, 18ºC. Once the fermentation has finished, all the wines are racked to separate them from the fine lees. Then, they carry out the coupage of all the different deposits. Before bottling, the wine is filtered and stabilised.

 

Laxas is a fresh, balances and honest wine. Fruity and flowery on the nose. It stands out for its intensity and freshness, typical of the variety and the area.

As Laxas Albariño 2024 is a white wine that exudes a vibrant bouquet where fruit and flowers intertwine harmoniously, allowing apple and apricot to take centre stage.
