Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches is a biodynamic, barrel-aged white wine made by Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon in the AOC Mâcon (Burgundy) with the Chardonnay variety.

In 1999, Dominique Lafon, a respectful winemaker with a great family history embarked on a new adventure in Mâcon, in southern Burgundy, believing that the area had great potential. With this belief, he founded Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon, first with 7 hectares in Milly-Lamartine, and later taking on a collection of remarkable plots with great Mâconnais terroirs. His business has gone from strength to strength and now enjoys international recognition.

Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches comes from vines planted between 1977 and 1999. These are strains lying 200 metres above sea level and planted in shallow, clayey-calcareous soils with white stones. The team uses biodynamic viticulture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

When the grapes selected for Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches reach the winery, they are vinified with native yeasts in used foudres with a 45 to 48 hectolitre capacity. Then the wine ages on its lees for 7 to 8 months.

Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches is a great example of quality wines from southern Burgundy. A creamy white with a refreshing acidity.
2017 Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches 2017 is a white wine with citrus notes, white flowers and hints of honey and nuts. On the palate it is bright and very broad, the mid-palate is pleasant and very balanced and the finish reveals mineral touches.
