Listán Mecánico 2023 is a light and succulent red wine, notable for its invigorating freshness. About Listán Mecánico

In a wine world where the classics dominate, Eloi Cerdà has emerged to create a complete revolution. With his minimal intervention winemaking, fresh and alternative approach, and uniquely original names, he has completely transformed the concept of viticulture. His project, Sistema Vinari, embraces a disruptive approach, steering away from traditional norms and unleashing creativity. Each bottle is far more than just a wine; it is a true declaration of principles, where nature, authenticity, and innovation take centre stage.

With the assistance of Francesc Grimalt and Sergi Caballero (owners of 4 Kilos), Eloi began marketing small productions that embody the essence of the Mediterranean winds of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands. A prime example is Listán Mecánico, a wine that captures the full character and typicity of the island. Crafted with listán negro and volcanic malvasía, this wine is a genuine homage to the Mallorcan volcanic soils, where the rofe (volcanic ash in small porous stones) imparts its unique touch.

In the winery, a direct pressing of the malvasía is used to start the fermentation, to which the listán negro is then added, a blend of whole clusters and partially destemmed grapes, fermenting together in harmony and maturing for six months in a 500L barrel. But the most intriguing aspect of Listán Mecánico is that it contains no sulphites, is neither filtered nor clarified, allowing the wine's purity and origin to truly shine.

Listán Mecánico embodies the spirit of Mallorca and an unwavering respect for the land. A wine without concessions, as unique as the vision of this irreverent new-generation vintner, inviting us to discover a wine that is freer, more natural, and full of character.
