About Louis Roederer Brut Vintage

Recognised as one of the eminent names in Champagne, Louis Roederer was a visionary of his time. While other houses purchased grapes, he was adamant about cultivating his own vineyards, analysing the character of each plot and operating on the premise that a great wine originates from the soil. An idea that, although now deeply ingrained, was considered quite eccentric in the mid-19th century. Always in pursuit of excellence, today, Louis Roederer Champagne has evolved into an exclusive group of wineries that, although independent, share the same philosophy of excellence.

Creations such as Louis Roederer Brut Vintage, a sparkling wine born in the Grand Cru of Verzenay, originate from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines planted on clay-limestone soils. Thirty-seven percent of the wines are vinified in wood with weekly punch-downs, and malolactic fermentation is not conducted. The second fermentation in the bottle involves an average of four years of maturation on its lees and a rest of six months after disgorgement.

Considering that Louis Roederer Brut Vintage is only produced in favourable years, this champagne is the perfect expression of the characteristics of its terroir and the vintage year. The ideal toast that radiates excellence.

Louis Roederer Brut Vintage 2015 is a champagne with a dazzling bouquet where the intensity of the Pinot Noir takes centre stage, bringing notes of acidic red fruits and juicy yellow fruits (vineyard peach, mirabelle plum) accompanied by aromas of dried fruits and smoky and spicy nuances.
