About Marmellans Rosat

Marmellans Rosat is a rosé from Montsant produced by Celler de Capçanes. This winery is located in Priorat, Tarragona.

Their vineyards, located in the subzone of Falset, belonged to Tarragona until 2001 when the IO Montsant was established, where the winery is situated.

Marmellans Rosat is a blend made from Grenache peluda (80%), a variety of Grenache with a lower alcohol content, and Syrah (20%). The grapes come from old vines between 30 and 60 years old planted on clay and granite soils.

Marmellans Rosat is prepared by the technique of bleeding, consistent in not pressing the grapes and waiting for the skins to bleed. Subsequently maceration with the skins and low temperature fermentation occurs in stainless steel, before the wine spends four months resting on its lees. Marmellans Rosat is a young fruity and very inexpensive wine.
