About Marqués de Murrieta Primer Rosé

Marqués de Murrieta Primer Rose is a rosé wine from the DO. Rioja produced by the Bodegas Marqués de Murrieta winery, situated in Logroño, La Rioja.

Marqués de Murrieta is a classic Riojan winery which boasts over 160 years of experience in viticulture. It’s founder travelled to Bordeaux where they learned the techniques of winemaking, and later moved to La Rioja with his new found knowledge, building a French style Châteaux at the Ygay estate.

This is a rosé wine, made exclusively with Mazuelo grapes taken from the Ygay estate. The winemaking process is carried out following traditional methods, following the saignée method. The juice ferments in stainless steel tanks and is aged with its lees for 40 days.

Marqués de Murrieta Primer Rose is in limited production, with only 5000 bottles produced. This wine looks to please those who enjoy the classic rosé wines from La Rioja, but is a slightly renovated twist.

2024 Marqués de Murrieta Primer Rosé 2024 boasts a captivating pale hue that visually enchants. Upon bringing it to the nose, one is greeted by delicate aromas of dried rose petals, interwoven with hints of fresh peach, inviting an experience where floral and fruity finesse meet in perfect harmony. On the palate, its medium body surprises with its freshness and a subtle musky character, revealing an acidity that delicately integrates into each sip. A quintessential example of modern elegance in a rosé, with perfectly restrained maturity, offering a unique experience capable of elevating any gathering with its distinct varietal character.

Marqués de Murrieta Primer Rosé 2021 is an aromatic rosé with a captivating pale pink hue. On the nose, it is intense, featuring hints of red apples, currants, and orange zest, underpinned by spicy (thyme) and floral (violet) notes. On the palate, it is harmonious and delectable, distinguished and nuanced, with fruity flavors intertwined with nuances of confectionery and patisserie.
