About Martue Especial

Some excelled on the pitch, others on stage, and many in front of the cameras or in the business world. However, there are footballers, actors, singers, entrepreneurs, and designers who, besides succeeding in their careers, chose to delve into the captivating realm of wineries and the creation of their own wines.

Among them stands out Emilio Aragón, a versatile showman who left behind his acting and singing days to venture first into the television business and also into the vinicultural world. Alongside Fausto González and the oenologist Ignacio de Miguel, Aragón invested in Bodegas Martué, in La Guardia, Toledo, with the dream of crafting wines of exceptional quality.

One of their treasures is Martué Especial, a limited edition red wine that only emerges when the vintage is truly extraordinary. It is born from the oldest vines of red varieties such as petit Verdot, syrah, and merlot belonging to the prestigious Pago Campo de La Guardia, one of the few estates in Spain with this designation. This recognition ensures a privileged environment and vineyard management and winemaking of the highest calibre, making each bottle a safe bet.

The harvest is conducted during the night to capture the grapes at their optimal ripeness. Each variety ferments separately, with extended macerations, and then the wine ages for 14 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels. It is bottled unfiltered and unclarified, preserving all its character and authenticity.

Martué Especial is a limited edition that celebrates the vineyard's perfection, turning every sip into an unrepeatable moment. A wine as special as the vintage that witnessed its birth.
