About Moreau-Naudet Petit Chablis

Moreau-Naudet Petit Chablis is a single-variety Chardonnay white wine produced by Domaine Moreau-Naudet in the AOC Petit Chablis in Burgundy, France.

The Moreau-Naudet Petit Chablis wine is made using grapes from a single 3-hectare plot located on the slopes of Chablis, with fine, very chalky soils and vines aged 20 to 50 years old. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts and the resulting wine is aged in vats for around 18 months.

The Domaine Moreau-Naudet is a century-old estate located in Yonne, Chablis. It was set up in the 17th century and over the years it has evolved and expanded to offer wines in the Petit Chablis, Chablis and Chablis Premier Cru denominations. These wines are made from vines ranging from 35 to 50 years old planted in 22 hectares of vineyards. No pesticides or herbicides are used and all work is carried out with the utmost respect for sustainable development.

The word “petit” does not do justice to Moreau-Naudet Petit Chablis . This is a splendid white wine with a high level of freshness and aromatic complexity that would make many Chablis wines seem lesser.

Medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, it offers a vibrant attack that transitions into a sharp and incisive core, ideal for accompanying a leisurely conversation, barefoot, with the promise of summer in the air.

Moreau-Naudet Petit Chablis 2018 is a white wine that, on the nose, presents a bouquet of floral and herbaceous aromas reminiscent of orange blossom, parsley, coriander, or mint, complemented by the distinctive iodine and marine hints so typical of Chablis wines, as well as zesty notes of lime and grapefruit. On the palate, it is full-bodied and luscious, with a display of citrus fruits, pears, and the crisp acidity of Granny Smith apples and passion fruit. A white wine that is refreshingly crisp, with a vibrant and flavorsome finish.
