About Nita

Nita is a red wine from the D.O Priorat produced by Meritxell Pallejà. This is a blend of Garnacha (45%), Cariñena (35%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Syrah (5%).

The grape used to produce for Nita originates from 2 hectares that are owned by the winery, located in Gratallops
The harvest is completed by hand and each process carefully respects the environment.

Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed and are cold macerated.

The must is obtained by fermenting the grapes in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature.

Nita is placed in concrete vats for a few weeks before being bottled.

Meritxell Pallejà wanted to pay tribute with this wine to his grandmother. Cal Nite en Falset was the name of the house where she lived and the label commemorates the embroidery that she used to make.

Nita 2022 is a red wine distinguished by its freshness and lightness. On the nose, it reveals aromas of black cherries, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and a delicate nuance of eucalyptus. There are also notes of white pepper that contribute a touch of complexity. On the palate, its finish is smooth and soft, making it a pleasant and easy choice to enjoy.

Nita 2021 is unveiled as a red wine brimming with youthful exuberance and a charming fruit-forward appeal. As one brings it closer to the nose, a tapestry of aromas unfolds, showcasing ripe cherries and strawberries, interwoven with hints of balsamic herbs and a distinctive mineral edge. Floral nuances of violet and lavender add layers of complexity to its aromatic profile. On the palate, its vivacity is palpable, with a zesty acidity that accentuates its fruity demeanor and a smooth, velvety texture that renders it delightfully quaffable.

2010 Wine with a nice and intense attack and an excellent, smooth and flavourful mid palate, with well balanced aromas. It shows fresh notes of juicy fruit on a good mineral background. It has a good acidity, nice and noticeable tannins and a nice, lingering finish, with a light sweetness.
