About Panevino Storm Venti Venti

Bread, the quintessential symbol of sustenance and life, and wine, the emblem of celebration and fellowship, harmonize impeccably to craft a culinary experience that transcends mere nourishment, evolving into a communal ritual among friends and kin. Together, bread and wine invoke the significance of simplicity, gratitude, and the enjoyment of life's fundamental pleasures. It is with this philosophy that Gianfranco Manca, a master baker and vintner, embarked on his own wine-making venture, Panevino (bread and wine in Italian). His journey began after mastering the art of baking classic Sardinian breads in his uncle's bakery, achieving remarkable success, followed by an endeavor to restore ancient vineyards adjacent to his establishment, with the aim of crafting his very own wines. These are minimal intervention productions that seek to convey his most personal interpretation.

Among his most intriguing wines, Panevino Storm Venti Venti is a monovarietal of cannonau whose name "Storm" is inspired by the meteorological phenomenon's impact on the vineyards, characterized by strong winds, heavy rainfall, thunder, and lightning. Old vines are organically farmed without the use of chemical products. Following manual harvest, the grapes are meticulously selected, destemmed, and vinified in 15 hl. barrels using indigenous yeasts. Subsequently, the wine is matured for a month in stainless steel before bottling, unclarified, unfiltered, and without the addition of sulfites.

Through a painstaking process of minimal intervention, Panevino Storm Venti Venti invites us to explore and relish the distinctive character of the cannonau grape, a local varietal that fully expresses itself with every sip, capturing the very essence of the land and climate in which it has been cultivated.
