About Pauillac de Chateau Latour

Pauillac de Chateau Latour is a barrel-aged red wine made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot varieties by Chateau Latour in the French denomination of AOC Pauillac (Bordeaux).

Chateau Latour is a wine estate located 300 metres from the Gironde River, in the Médoc region. It is located in one of the legendary Bordeaux grand cru areas because of its exceptional quality. A most noble soil that creates three types of wine that are characterised by being balanced, powerful, elegant and very silky: Grand vin, Les Forts de Latour and Pauillac.

Pauillac de Chateau Latour is mainly made from young vines. Strains planted in clay soils with magnificent layers of deep gravels that allow natural drainage. They use environmentally respectful agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

To make Pauillac by Chateau Latour, the grapes are destemmed and pressed, then left to ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Afterwards, about 20% of the wine ages in new French oak barrels.

Pauillac de Chateau Latour is the third wine from the famous Château Latour. A wine that has been produced every year since 1989 and is thought of as a fruity, gourmet wine that is the perfect introduction to the Château Latour family.

Pauillac de Chateau Latour 2013 is a smooth red wine with aromas of candied red and black fruit like cherry, blackberries and plums. It has spicy notes and hints of pastry. On the palate, it offers a lively acidity filled with ripe fruit. The finish is fresh and pleasant.
