About Pazo Baión

Pazo Baión is an Albariño white wine produced by the Pazo Baión winery in the D.O. Rías Baixas.

Pazo Baión is located in Vilanova de Arousa (Pontevedra). A micro-universe with great charm dating back to the 15th century with a traditional Galician house, a dairy, a winery, a dovecot and a granary. After having passed from owner to owner, it has now been run by Adega Condes de Albarei since 2008. It has 30 hectares of old vines over 40 years old, 22 are of which are the Albariño variety. Starting with a deep respect for nature and terroir, the aim is to produce high quality white wines.

Under the concept of pazo wine, the Pazo Baión grape comes to life in a special place. Strains of great age, planted in granite soil and in different positions relative to the sun, result in characteristic tradition. They are manually harvested and placed in small boxes.

Once in the winery, clusters and berries pass over a double selection table. Alcoholic fermentation takes place, before bottling, Pazo Baión spends 9 months in foudres with its fine lees.

Pazo Baión is a white Pazo wine from old vines that offers the full tradition of the most popular area of Albariño wines.
2017 Pazo Baión 2017 is an aromatic white wine that highlights the aromas of stone fruit, citrus fruits, tropical fruits and floral notes. On the palate it is fresh, balanced, unctuous and mineral.
