About Pere Punyetes Blanc

Pere Punyetes Blanc is a white wine from the DO Penedès made by Cava Varias, a winery with almost 100 years of history in winemaking. The caves were founded in 1918 by the Miró family in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Alt Penedés).
The climate in this area is pre-littoral, where temperatures are around 15-18ºC, with a maximum of 34ºC in summer and a minimum close to zero in winter. Frosts are more frequent and the contrast between maximum and minimum temperatures is greater.
This wine has been made from a coupage of 65% Muscat and 35% Xarel.lo from their own vineyards planted in the municipality of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.
In terms of production, after pressing the grapes, the must ferments, each variety separately, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18ºC. During this fermentation, the wine is cooled to leave a few grams of residual sugar to round it off but making sure it is still a dry white wine.

Pere Punyetes Blanc 2022 captivates with its vivacity and youthful zest. As one brings it closer to the nose, a tapestry of intense jasmine and white floral aromas unfurls, interwoven with hints of mango and pineapple, conjuring images of a lush tropical garden. The palate is broad, pleasant, silky and aromatic, with a clear role for a citrus fruit and acidity. Long and fruity aftertaste.

The nose is intense and very expressive. Intense notes of white flowers with memories of tropical and citrus fruits appear.
