About Perelada Inspirador Blanc

Empordà in Catalonia, with its stunning natural beauty and rich history, has been an endless source of inspiration for artists worldwide. Renowned figures such as the surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, the modernist architect Antoni Gaudí, and the costumbrista writer Josep Pla fell in love with its landscapes. Vibrant colours, unique textures, and captivating aromas create an extraordinary palette of nuances. However, these were not the only ones to be enchanted by such magic. Peralada, the century-old winery currently led by Javier Suqué, has managed to capture and preserve the essence of Empordà and reflect it in its wines, drawing inspiration from the same surroundings that have fascinated so many creatives.

In tribute to this source of inspiration, the project's oenologist, Delfí Sanahuja, introduces us to El Inspirador Blanc, a white wine crafted from the grape varieties garnacha roja, garnacha blanca, and sauvignon blanc. Vines that thrive on the Mediterranean sun, the tramuntana wind, and the diverse soils. In the winery, the grapes are selected, destemmed, and gently pressed, and the resulting must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15°C to preserve the freshness and purity of its aromas.

El Inspirador Blanc is a liquid homage to this singular region. With a genuinely Empordà character, it stands out for its balance, persistence, and a gentle finish that invites leisurely enjoyment, evoking the landscapes and inspiration that make Empordà a unique and magical land.

Perelada Inspirador Blanc 2023 exhibits a straw-yellow hue with golden highlights. On the nose, it is distinguished by its intense aroma of sweet fruits such as peach and pear, complemented by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is broad and unctuous, with a lively acidity that imparts freshness. This wine is characterised by its balance and persistence, offering a pleasant finish that accentuates its unique character.
