About Perelada Mar de Rosa

The tramuntana is far more than a cold, dry wind from northern Catalonia that cannot be tamed. Throughout the ages, it has been an inexhaustible source of inspiration, appearing in literature, poetry, and music as a powerful symbol of strength, freedom, and connection with nature. This transformative energy has also left its mark on Perelada, the leading winery of the DO Empordà (Catalonia). A project with over 100 years of history, it has established itself as a benchmark of excellence in viticulture, not only in this northern Catalan region but also on an international scale. Under the leadership of the Suqué Mateu siblings, Javier, Miguel, and Isabel, the winery blends tradition and modernity, remaining true to its roots while continuing to innovate to captivate palates worldwide.

In this very spirit, Perelada Mar de Rosa is born, a rosé wine that encapsulates the essence of Empordà. Crafted from the garnacha tinta variety, it is a tribute to the region's unique landscape, shaped by the influence of the tramuntana wind and bathed in the warm Mediterranean sun. For this, the garnacha tinta, one of the most emblematic varieties of the area, is harvested at its optimal ripeness to ensure freshness and aromatic intensity. Then, in the winery, vinification is carried out traditionally, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to preserve the characteristic fruity and floral aromas of this variety to the fullest.

The result is Perelada Mar de Rosa, a limited production wine, ideal for those seeking a fresh, elegant, and delicate experience. A versatile choice, perfect for both special occasions and enjoying the simplicity of a Mediterranean sunset and the inspiring tramuntana wind.
