About Petruskellerei Gewürztraminer

Petruskellerei Gewürztraminer is a white wine produced by Petruskellerei with the Gewürztraminer variety in the DOC Südtirol Alto Adige in Alto Adige (Italy). 
 
Petruskellerei is a family winery located in the hills around the town of Bolzano in South Tyrol. There they work 7 hectares of historic vines such as Sylvaner, St Magdalener and Lagrein in combination with international varieties which have adapted perfectly to the steep slopes of the site. 
 
Petruskellerei Gewürztraminer comes from a 2-hectare vineyard located 400 meters above sea level. They’re high altitude vines planted in calcareous and gravel soils where a traditional agriculture is practiced and they’re harvested manually in small boxes and with selection in the vineyard.
 
In the winery, the Petruskellerei Gewürztraminer grapes undergo a short maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 20ºC in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged and refined in steel before bottling. 
 
Petruskellerei Gewürztraminer is a white wine that expresses the typical characteristics of the Gewürztraminer grape in the unique terroir of the Italian area known as South Tyrol. 
2020

Petruskellerei Gewürztraminer 2020 is an aromatic white wine. Olfactorily, it exhibits a spicy profile (cloves) complemented by floral notes (rose petals) and a fruity essence (lychee). On the palate, it is sumptuous and vibrant, with minimal acidity and a pronounced fruitiness.
2019
Petruskellerei Gewürztraminer 2019 is an aromatic white wine with fragrant notes of white fruit, hints of spice and a delicious herbal background. On the palate it’s dry, ample and fresh. A wine with a sharp acidity and a very pleasant perfumed retroolfaction.
