About Tarsus Crianza

Tarsus Crianza is a red wine from D.O. Ribera del Duero produced by Bodegas Tarsus, a winery belonging to the group Pernod Ricard Bodegas.
Located in the heart of Ribera, in the municipality of Anguix (Burgos), this winery, directed by oenologist Teresa Rodríguez, offers wines with deep, concentrated aromas, and with a great ageing capacity. 

Tarsus Crianza is made 100% with the queen variety of Ribera, Tinta del País. The grapes come from vines planted in double espalier, an innovation of the winery that aims to achieve the full evolution of the vineyard, both at a growth and physiological level.
For its production, the must goes through fermentation for 20 to 30 days, at a temperature of between 24-26ºC, in order to achieve a greater fruit concentration.
After the vinification process, Tarsus Crianza ages for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. The process ends with one more year of ageing, this time in the bottle.

2012 Exquisitely fruity and sumptuously sweet, the red fruit dominates over subtle toasted and spiced notes that gracefully recede into the background. The acidity is impeccably balanced with well-integrated tannins. It is both elegant and rich in fruit.

Deep garnet red with intense violet glimmers.

The nose is engulfed by a profound and rich red fruit presence, layered upon a complex backdrop brimming with delicate toasted, spiced, and floral nuances. Utterly harmonious.
2011 An elegant and fruity wine on the palate with plenty of tannins.

Intense red with a violet rim.

A red fruit aroma combined with toasted and spiced hints from the barrel. Floral notes.
2008 Good and powerful but not umpleasant attack. Tasty and silky mid palate with a good presence of fruit. Well structured wine, still with slightly sharp tannins. Good finish. An elegant and tasty wine.

Intense cherry colour with violet edges. Very vivid and bright.

The marked notes of red fruit and flowers (violets) stand out over a well-integrated toasted and vanilla aromas provided by the wood. The wine is completed with some light balsamic and mineral touch.
2007 Elegant red wine from the Ribera del Duero. Soft and balanced. Tasty mid palate where the notes of fruit and toasted appear again. Integrated tannins. Good finish. An easy drinking wine.

Deep cherry colour with garnet trims. Light tear.

Expressive aromas of ripe red fruit which appear along with notes of roasted and spices, rather sweet.
