About Quinta Do Crasto Blanco
Quinta Do Crasto Blanco is a white wine coupage of the Rabigato, Gouveio and Viosinho varieties produced by the Quinta Do Crasto winery in the Douro Valley, Portugal.
The grapes used to make Quinta Do Crasto Blanco come from selected plots that are harvested and collected in 22 kilo boxes. When they reach the winery, they go through a rigorous selection process to then be destemmed and pressed. The resulting must is put into stainless steel vats at 8 degrees where it rests for 48 hours. The must is then decanted so that it begins alcoholic fermentation, also in stainless steel tanks but at a temperature of 14 degrees. The resulting wine ages for three months in stainless steel tanks.
Quinta Do Crasto is a hundred-year-old winery in a privileged part of the Douro Valley. The name "Crasto" comes from Latin and means “Roman fortress”. On the estate, they make still wines as well as fortified Port wines and extra virgin olive oil. Today, Leonor and Jorge Roquette, fourth generation of the family, manage this winery that is currently making waves thanks to their high-quality products.

| 2018 | Quinta Do Crasto Blanco is a white wine that is very expressive on the nose, offering aromas of fresh tropical fruits and soft floral nuances. On the palate it has moderate structure and volume. A fresh wine with a mineral hue and a long, persistent finish. | |
