About Recanati Jonathan White

Recanati Jonathan White is a kosher white wine made with the Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc varieties by the Recanati winery in Galilee (Israel).

Recanati is an Israeli winery that was founded in 2000 with the aim of showcasing quality local wines. Founders Lenny Recanati and Uri Shaked are wine lovers who understand the local terroir better than anyone else. They work with both local and international varieties and the wines are made according to Jewish regulations.

Recanati Jonathan White is made with Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Two international varieties that adapt perfectly to the Mediterranean climate. Conventional agriculture is used to cultivate the vines and the strain yield is limited to achieve low but high quality production. Once the grape reaches optimum ripeness, it is harvested manually, and the fruit is carefully selected.

The entire winemaking process for the Recanati Jonathan White follows a set of strict hygiene standards from Hebrew law, supervised by a Jewish religious authority. Once the grapes reach the winery, they are pressed and the resulting must ferments slowly at a low temperature to create a smooth, aromatic wine with a balanced acidity.

2018 Recanati Yasmin White 2018 is an aromatic white wine with intense fragrances of white fruit, tropical fruit and citrus, spicy notes of vanilla and touches of butter. On the palate it is elegant, light and refreshing with a balanced acidity and delicious fruit flavours.
