About Roc Nu

Roc Nu is a D.O. Costers del Segre red wine by Clos Pons.
A coupage between Tempranillo, Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon. The best organically farmed plots of these estates create the grapes that will serve as a base of production for this wine. They are from vines in Pobla de Cérvoles, 700 metres above sea level.
The harvest takes place manually in 15-kg boxes. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels that are new and one year old.

2009 Frank, direct and well-structured on the palate. Lots of dark fruit initially. Marmalade, elegant toasted notes, refined spiced aromas, cocoa, red grapes and minerals. Light custard notes. An elegant, complex, flavourful and harmonious mid palate with sweet tannins and fleshy touches. A long and enveloping finish.

Picota red with an intense maroon rib. A fine, glyceric, coloured tear.

Balsamic notes together with abundant, ripe, seasonal dark fruit. Fine toasted notes.
