About Rolland Galarreta Rueda

Rolland Galarreta Rueda is a white wine from the D.O Rueda produced by Rolland Galarreta. This is a single variety from the grape Verdejo.

The grapes used to produce Rolland Galarreta Rueda originate from old vines located near to the town of La Seca, this is an area with a fantastic quality for cultivating vines.
The growth cycle for the vines are characterised by green pods and a low grape yield.

The harvest is completed very carefully, the grapes also undergo a double selection process: in the vineyard and in the winery. The wine is produced in the winery of Val de Vid.
The must for Rolland Galarreta Rueda is cold macerated with husks for 8 hours to extract the typical aromas from the Verdejo grape.

Subsequently, the grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature at 16ºC on its lees, which provides the wine with structure and volume.

Rolland Galarreta Rueda is a young wine that is bottled without any type of ageing.

Rolland Galarreta Rueda is a project set up by Michel Rolland, a famous French oenologist, with Javier Galarreta, a Spanish businessman with high connection to the wine world. Today, they produce three products Rolland Galarreta Rueda: in the D.O. Rueda, in the D.O. La Rioja and in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.

2013 Round and excellent quality. An excellent freshness and voluminous. Combines fruity and citrus notes, presents a long and persistent finish.

Intense and attractive, bright straw yellow colour.

Fine and fresh undertones of tropical and citrus touches. Floral and mineral reminiscences. This is a complex and intense wine.
