About Selva Capuzza San Martino della Battaglia Campo del Soglio

Luca Formentini, the fourth generation at the helm of the family winery Selva Capuzza, has not only managed to uphold the company's name but has also succeeded in enhancing its value, giving utmost priority to the 30 hectares of vineyard. Located in the municipality of San Martino della Battaglia, four kilometres from Lake Garda, in the province of Lombardy (Italy), the vines are situated at the highest part of the area, at 95-110 metres above sea level. Hence the name "Capuzza" (which means hood, head...). Being the only winery in the area that produces wines under three different appellations: Lugana, San Martino della Battaglia and Garda Classico, it is an excellent reference point for discovering an interesting wine region that is in full expansion.

One of the most historic labels in the entire range produced by the winery is Selva Capuzza San Martino della Battaglia Campo del Soglio. A white wine that comes from vineyards of the indigenous variety tuchi cultivated following organic guidelines, with the harvest carried out in stages to obtain the best ripeness of the different grapes. After the harvest, the grapes ferment with selected yeasts at low temperature and then remain in contact with the fine lees in steel tanks before being bottled.

Fresh, fragrant and slightly mineral, Selva Capuzza San Martino della Battaglia Campo del Soglio is a white wine from the DOC Lugana that introduces us to the revival of this wine region in Lombardy. A classic single-varietal tuchi in its most vibrant and easy-to-drink version.
