About Clos Pons Sisquella Blanco

Sisquella is a white wine from the appellation of the origin Costers de Segre produced by Clos Pons. This winery is found in the town of L'Albagès (LLeida).

Sisquella is produced from the varieties Garnacha Blanca and Albariño. The vineyards are situated at 500-700 meters of altitude in the towns of L'Albagés and in Pobla de Cérvoles.

The harvest is completed by hand in small containers with a capacity of 15kg.

For production, the wine is fermented and aged with bâtonnages every 15 days in new French oak barrels for a period of 4 months.

Sisquella 2017 is a luscious white wine boasting a sophisticated bouquet of citrus scents, floral undertones, and nutty nuances. On the palate, it is fruit-forward, velvety, and expansive. A wine characterized by its rich texture and seamlessly integrated acidity.

Sweet and mellow with white and citric fruit. Herbal, toasted and vanilla notes.

Sweet aromas felt in the nose with notes of pineapple and lemon. Ripe white fruit also appears just after, as well as toasted notes and vanilla coming from the wine's slight ageing in new French oak.
