About Taberner Nº 1

Taberner Nº1 is a red wine from V.T. Cádiz that is produced by Huerta de Albalá  in Arcos de la Frontera. 
 

Its location between the reservoir of Bornos and Sierra de Grazalema makes it an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of the vine, with a remarkable temperature contrast between day and night, and an annual rainfall of 900 mm, quite unusual for southern Spain.
 

Taberner Nº1 is a coupage of Syrah, Merlot and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. For its production, it goes through a manual harvest and selection. It ferments in wooden vats. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels. It is bottled unfiltered, and rests a few months in the bottle. 

This is a tasty and spicy wine with a clear influence of the Syrah grape variety.

2015

Taberner Nº 1 2015 exhibits a deep and intense cherry hue. Olfactorily, it unfurls a spectrum of balsamic and garrigue scents, succeeded by profound black fruit notes such as blackberries and plums, all beautifully integrated with a refined French oak nuance. On the palate, it presents a forthright and robust entry, remarkable for its silkiness and body. The finish is harmonious and graceful, with roasted nuances and coffee undertones that round out its concentrated character.
2014
Taberner Nº 1 2014 is a red wine that on the nose presents a bouquet in which ripe fruits (plums, figs) predominate, interwoven with delicate hints of aromatic herbs, orange zest, and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is flavorful and fruit-forward. This red wine boasts a voluptuous texture, mature tannins, and a long, enduring finish.
 
2007 Broad and bulky attack. Intense ripe fruit and hints of liquor melt with fine toasted notes and spices, resulting in a very appetising wine. Very silky, bulky and full-bodied on the palate. Balanced. Excellent strong acidity adding a fresh touch. Ripe tannins. Long and very persistent finish. A great red wine.

Pretty and intense cherry colour. Very clean and bright with light violet reflections. High robe. Elegant, dense, slow-falling tears show on the glass.

An intense, complex, clean and very well defined nose. Powerful ripe fruit is quickly followed by elegant woody aromas, a wide range of sweet and spicy spices, cocoa, coffee and lactic notes. Intense balsamic background.
2006 Elegant, tasty wine with a nice complexity. It has a wide and bulky attack. Its aromas of ripe fruit with a touch of liquor are mixed with elegant toasted and creamy spices which provide the wine with a mellow touch. It shows a very silky, bulky and full-bodied mid palate. A balanced wine with an excellent, slightly marked acidity which provides freshness and quite ripe tannins. Long and very persistent finish.  An inviting very seductive red wine to be enjoyed slowly.

Intense cherry colour with violet reflections. Bright and clean wine with a high layer. Elegant, dense and slow-falling tears.

Intense and complex aromas. Its powerful notes of ripe fruit are very soon wrapped in fine wooden aromas, a wide range of sweet and hot spices, notes of cocoa and coffee, roasted aromas and outstanding milky nuances. Intense balsamic background.
