In ancient times, it was believed that everything was composed of four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. Yet, there existed a fifth element, the quintessence or ether. Pure, incorruptible, and celestial, it embodied the representation of absolute perfection. With that same spirit of perfection, Taittinger, one of the few Champagne houses still bearing its original name since its founding in 1734 and owner of the historic house of the Counts of Champagne, has crafted a wine that encapsulates this concept.

Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is the ultimate expression of the chardonnay grape. This exceptional cuvée originates exclusively from the Côte des Blancs, selecting the finest vineyards of Grands Crus such as Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger, ensuring unparalleled purity and elegance.

As with all wines from Taittinger, the vinification of Comtes De Champagne Blanc De Blancs reflects meticulous attention to quality. Five percent of the wine ages in new oak barrels for four months, imparting a subtle nuance of complexity without diminishing its freshness. However, the true secret of this champagne lies in time. An ageing period of 10 years allows each vintage to develop exceptional intensity and maturity, while always preserving the characteristic brilliance and freshness of chardonnay.

The result is Taittinger Comtes De Champagne Blanc De Blancs, a unique cuvée, produced in very limited quantities, that represents the quintessence of chardonnay. A pure, elegant, and timeless champagne, crafted for moments that deserve to be celebrated.
