About Tenuta di Trinoro

Tenuta di Trinoro is a barrel-aged red wine made with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot varieties by the Tenuta di Trinoro winery in Tuscany (Italy).

The Tenuta di Trinoro winery is located in Val d’Orcia, in Tuscany. Founded by Andrea Franchetti in the 80s, it lies over 22 hectares. A great diversity of soils, mainly clayey, that result in complex and elegant wines that are sought after all around the world.

Tenuta di Trinoro comes from vines planted in clay-calcareous soils lying at an altitude of between 450 and 600 metres above sea level. They are cultivated using respectful agriculture that will not harm the natural balance, and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimal point of ripeness.

When the Tenuta di Trinoro grapes reach the winery, they are meticulously selected and gently crushed. They then ferment in stainless steel tanks for about two weeks. Finally, the wine ages for 11 months in cement tanks and 8 months in French oak barrels.

2017 Tenuta di Trinoro 2017 is a concentrated wine with delicious aromas of small black forest fruits, spicy notes of clove and hints of dark chocolate. On the palate it is complex, powerful and deep. It reveals fine and elegant tannins and a long aftertaste that is rich in fruit.
