About Torres Gran Viña Sol

Gran Viña Sol is a white wine produced by Bodegas Torres in Pacs del Penedès, D.O. Penedés.
 

Bodegas Torres is a family business that was founded in 1870 by Jaime and Miguel Torres Vendrell, and that has had several generations dedicated to the production of wine and brandy in Penedés. Currently, Bodegas Torres produces wines in many wine regions of the world. In Spain, it has 4 wineries of its own, in 4 other denominations of origin, Penedés, Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Priorat.

Bodegas Torres currently has an excellent international standing, and it exports to more than 140 countries around the world.
 

Gran Viña Sol is a wine made with Chardonnay and Parellada. Once the harvest is carried out, the grapes ferment in stainless steel deposits, with a controlled temperature of 16ºC. A third of the wine is fermented and aged for 5 months in new French oak barrels.

Gran Viña Sol was a pioneer in Spain in the production of Chardonnay fermented in barrels.

2018 Gran Viña Sol 2018 is a creamy, deep and profiled wine. On the nose, the aromas of ripe white fruit stand out, with tropical notes and the toasted touch of the barrel. In the mouth, it has a broad entry, with an intense mid-palate and a long finish.
