About Familia Torres Waltraud

Familia Torres Waltraud is a white wine from the D.O. Penedès crafted by Familia Torres. This wine is a single-varietal of Riesling. 

Familia Torres Waltraud originates from the finest harvests of Riesling, one of the most aromatic grape varieties that matures into wines—such as this one—that are refined and exceedingly fruity.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes undergo an initial fermentation process. The vinification of the must from Familia Torres Waltraud takes place in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures not exceeding 20°C.

Familia Torres Waltraud is a wine dedicated to the wife of Miguel Torres, Waltraud Maczassek. The wine's varietal, Riesling, is originally from Germany, but has acclimatized impeccably to the Penedès region: much like Waltraud Maczassek herself.

Familia Torres Waltraud 2022 is a white wine that encapsulates the quintessence of youth with its zest and exuberance. Upon bringing it close to the nose, a bouquet of sweet orange blossom aromas unfurls, intertwined with zesty notes of lemon peel and tangerine, woven together with subtle hints of honey and an array of delicate spices. On the palate, it is light and silky, beckoning one to revel in its harmonious aromatic profile and its enduring finish that leaves a refreshing and delightful impression.
2017 Torres Waltraud 2017 is an elegant and perfumed white wine. A warm vintage that enhances all the fruity aromas of the variety, appearing on the palate with elegance and distinction. A full and very lingering finish.
2014 Wide and silky, balanced and the perfection between sweet and acidic notes.
