About Treinta Mil Maravedíes

Treinta Mil Maravedíes is a red wine from the Vinos de Madrid region produced by the Marañones winery. This wine is a Grenache.

The grapes used to make this wine come from plots owned by the vineyard. The vineyards are home to granitic soils with sandy textures, that are very fresh and deep degraded, poor in organic matter. The vines themselves are between 30-70 years old and are cultivated organically.

On arrival at the winery, the bunches are left to undergo cool pre-ferment maceration. The grapes, without being destemmed, then ferment in wooden tanks using native yeasts. During this phase, pigeage also occurs to optimise fermentation.

Then the wine rests in French oak barrels (399 to 500 l., old and new ones) and wooden vats that can hold up to 45 hectolitres. Then, Treinta Mil Maracedíes ages for 8 months on its lees in the  barrels, followed by another two months in an oak tank.

Marañones is one of the most renowned wineries in the Vinos de Madrid region. The hard work put in by the company has really paid off, with their products consistently acclaimed by leading guides.

Treinta Mil Maravedíes 2022 is a red wine that exudes a subtle bouquet of flowers and luscious fruit, enveloped in an effortlessly seductive elegance. The garnacha, ripe yet restrained, reveals the imprint of granite in a firm and vibrant texture. On the palate, its depth and length are astonishing, elevating each sip beyond its fruity character.
2014 Vibrant and sumptuous, this wine exhibits impeccable balance, culminating in an extensive and captivating finish.

It boasts a clear and luminous ruby hue with a medium depth.

A profusion of ripe red fruit is complemented by predominantly balsamic and spicy undertones.
