About Trénel Crémant de Bourgogne

Trénel Crémant de Bourgogne is a single-variety Chardonnay sparkling wine produced by the Trénel winery in the AOC Crémant d'Bougogne in Burgundy, France.

 

The grapes used to make this Crémant come from the Côte Chalonnaise and plots with predominantly clay-calcareous soils, which are perfect for growing Chardonnay grapes. “Crémant” sparkling wines are made using the traditional method, the same as champagne.

 

The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks and the resulting wine is bottled to undergo a second fermentation in the bottle, which is when the magnificent bubbles develop. This sparkling wine is aged on laths for 36 months, which is three times longer than what is required by the AOC. This results in a crémant with a deep structure and great finesse.

 

Trénel Crémant de Bourgogne is a very gastronomic and complex sparkling wine. An ideal way to enjoy the wonders of a blanc de blancs champagne, with all the potential and benefits of the terroir but as a crémant and with a lower price tag.
