About Trimbach Gewürztraminer

Trimbach Gewürztraminer is a single-variety Gewürztraminer white wine from AOC Alsace made by the Trimbach winery.

Trimbach is a winery located in the medieval city of Ribeauvillé. It was founded in 1626 by the Trimbach family, who have been at the helm for 13 generations. It has about 15,000 hectares of vineyards, some 1,600 of which are classified as Grand Cru. It produces elegant and structured wines with great aging potential.

The Trimbach Gewürztraminer soils are marl, limestone and sandstone. The area has a semi-continental climate characterised by cold and dry winters and hot summers. There is not too much rain because it is protected to the west by the Vosges mountains.

The Trimbach Gewürztraminer harvest is carried out manually and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the fresh and fruity aromas of the grape.

Trimbach Gewürztraminer is a fantastic example of Gewürztraminer from Alsace. A dry, fruity and spiced white supported by a fresh acidity.

Trimbach Gewürztraminer 2017 is an aromatic white wine exuding profound citrus aromas, floral undertones, and hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, it is vivacious, expansive, and exotic. This utterly dry wine boasts supreme acidity and vibrant fruit.
2016 Trimbach Gewürztraminer 2016 is a wine with an elegantly scented nose of yellow fruits, lychee and spices. In the mouth it is dry, rich, intense and delicious with a dry and piquant finish. It is a balanced white with good aging potential.
