About Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve

Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve is a single-variety Pinot Noir red wine from AOC Alsace made by Trimbach.

Trimbach is a family winery dating back to 1626. It is located in the medieval city of Ribeauvillé, Alsace. The Trimbach family has been at the helm for 13 generations and currently has 50 hectares of vineyards. Throughout their history they have produced fruity but structured, elegant, balanced and long-living wines. The wine is not aged in foudres or barrels but it does spend a few months or years aging in the bottle in the winery so that it is at its best when it reaches the market.

The Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve is made with grapes from the best terroirs, including the famous Rotenberg vineyard in Ribeauvillé.

To make the Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve, the bunches of grapes are completely destemmed when they get to the winery, and then crushed before being placed in vats. The must is then macerated with the skins at low temperature for a few days and fermented.

The Trimbach Pinot Noir is the only wine made here that undergoes malolactic fermentation. After this, the wine is aged for 3 months in stainless steel vats and finally bottled.

Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve is a classic expression of the Alsace Pinot Noir.

Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve 2019 is a juicy red wine with aromas of small black and red fruits accompanied by smoky notes. On the palate it’s delicate, fresh and sweet. A well-structured wine, with refreshing acidity and a long, somewhat tannic finish.
2017 Trimbach Pinot Noir Réserve 2017 is a red wine that is soft and gentle on the palate with juicy strawberry and cherry flavours. It is round and sumptuous, intense and complex. It will develop well in the bottle over time. It has a medium body, with soft and polished tannins.
