About Villscheider Kerner Valle Isarco

Villscheider Kerner Valle Isarco is a white wine made by Villscheider with the Kerner variety in the DOC Alto Adige Valle Isarco in the area of Alto Adige (Italy).
 
Villscheider is a family estate located in the mountains on the right bank of the Isarco River in northern Italy. There, Florian, Erika and Meinrad have been working 4 hectares of vineyards since 1997 to make the most of the terroir and the local grape varieties. An example of this can be found in the Kerner, a grape which is the result of a cross with Riesling and which seems to have found its true destiny in the Isarco Valley. 
 
Villscheider Kerner Valle Isarco comes from a vineyard of 0.60 hectares located 700 meters above sea level. The vines are planted on stony, slightly chalky, permeable soils. Traditional agriculture is practiced and grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes and with selection in the vineyard. 
 
In the winery the grapes of Villscheider Kerner Valle Isarco macerate and ferment in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged and refined in these same tanks for 6 months before bottling. 
 
Doing justice to the Valle Isarco terroir, Villscheider Kerner Valle Isarco is an aromatic, fresh and mineral wine which teleports you to the heart of Alto Adige.
 
2019

Villscheider Kerner Valle Isarco 2019 is an aromatic white wine. The bouquet is intensely fragrant and sophisticated, featuring hints of apricot, peach, and elderflower. On the palate, it is refined and sweet, with a crisp acidity. Well-balanced with a mineral finish.
2018
Villscheider Kerner Valle Isarco 2018 is an aromatic white wine with stone fruit fragrances blended with herbal notes. On the palate it’s mineral, fresh and dry. A wine with a medium acidity, very well-balanced and with a long and pleasant finish.
