About Viña Bosconia Gran Reserva

Viña Bosconia Gran Reserva is a red wine coupage of the Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano varieties produced by the R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia winery in the DOCa. Rioja in Spain.

Viña Bosconia Gran Reserva is an exceptional wine, made through tradition and patience. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness and then they go through a traditional winemaking process. The resulting wine is aged in barrels for ten years and is racked twice a year. It is clarified with fresh egg whites and then bottled unfiltered. The wine rests for at least ten years in the cellar before being released for sale.

Viña Bosconia Gran Reserva is, without a doubt, a wine for great moments and special occasions. An extraordinary reward for those lucky enough to try it. It is made in very small batches with a limited number of bottles that are highly sought after around the world.

R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia is a hundred-year-old winery with a long family tradition and a legacy that transcends borders. Their wines reflect the best essence of the classic Rioja and they are synonymous with elegance and distinction, always scoring highly with international critics.

Viña Bosconia Gran Reserva 2001 is a round, smooth, delicate wine with a persistent flavour. On the nose it has mineral notes and also reveals its full complexity from the long aging. A balanced and elegant wine with an aging potential of ten years or more, if it is stored at the right temperature and humidity level.
