About Viña Sastre Rosado

Viña Sastre Rosado is a rosé from the appellation of origin (D.O) Ribera del Duero produced by the winery Viña Sastre. This monovarietal from Tinta del País.

The grape Tinta del País originates from vines from the winery´s vineyards that are between 17 to 30 years old. The parcels of land are located up at 800 to 840 meters above sea level in the towns of Horra and Roa in the province of Burgos.

The cultivation and harvest of the Viña Sastre Rosado is realised in an artisanal manner, without adding any artificial substance.

Viña Sastre is one the most important family run wineries of the whole Spanish winemaking panorama. It was founded in 1992, but its tradition dates back to the 1950´s.

2014 Balanced and smooth. Very good body and a pleasant acidity that brings much freshness to the wine. Combination of strawberries and red fruits.

Rosé colour with purples hues. Medium body.

Intense and clear, combination of floral notes and floral touches.
2013 Balanced, with hints of ripe strawberries and wild berries. Good body and acidity, fresh and soft.

Pretty rose pink with violet hues. High layer.

Intense and warm, fruity and floral aromas.
2012 In the mouth, it is a very well-balanced wine, with ripe strawberry aromas and red fruit of the forest reminiscences. Full-bodied wine with a great proportional acidity. Fresh, soft, long and elegant.

Strawberry pink colour, with a medium-robe, and slight violet touches.

In the nose, it is a very intense and clean wine with fruity aromas and floral nuances.
