About Viñas del Vero Gran Vos

Viñas del Vero Gran Vos is a red wine from Somontano prepared by Viñas del Vero, a winery founded in 1986 by acquiring 550 hectares of land in Barbastro and other nearby towns. The first wines hit the market in 1990.

The climate in this area is perfect for making excellent wines as it offers superb growing conditions. It is characterized by extreme winters and short summers, with an average annual temperature of 12 ° C and an annual rainfall of 600 mm. This wine is made from a selection of the best grapes from vineyards such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and other red varieties. The vineyards are planted on permeable limestone soils. As for the process, a traditional vinification is performed of each variety separately. After fermentation, the wine spends 18 months in new French oak barrels from Allier. We recommend decanting half hour before enjoying it.

2014

Viñas del Vero Gran Vos 2014 is a quintessential red wine. The bouquet reveals an abundance of dried fruit (figs), sweet spices, and toasted nuances. On the palate, it presents a medium body, with a velvety texture, dusty tannins, and a seamless flow.
2008

The palate is broad with great volume. This is a fleshy, tasty, velvety and powerful wine. Fruity notes appear alongside roasted, very well balanced. Excellent acidity and tannins. Long and very persistent.



Cherry colour with garnet reflections.



The nose is cleanly presented with a medium-high aromatic intensity that is marked with fruity aromas, toasted notes and balsamic. We can also see cocoa, toffee and liquorice. Subtle herbal and mineral background.
2007 Broad, bulky attack. Fleshy, velvety, tasty and powerful on the palate. Well-balanced fruit and toasted notes. Excellent acidity and ripe tannins. Long and very persistent finish. A red wine with great structure, serious and elegant.

Pretty picota cherry colour with a maroon rim, very intense. Bright with abundant fine tears on the glass.

Clean, expressive nose of medium-high intensity. High concentration of fruity aromas mixed with toasted notes and intense balsamic notes, hints of cocoa, toffee and liquorice. Smooth herbal and subtle mineral touches in the background.
